The Sweetest Floral & Chick Party

When it comes to celebrating her daughter's special day, Jess knows how to create a party that's as unique and joyful as her little one. In this Q&A, Jess shares the story behind Amelie's gorgeous birthday bash, where a baby chicken theme meets a floral twist, all dreamed up by Amelie herself! From the colourful craft table to the homemade cookies, every detail was filled with love, creativity, and a whole lot of fun. Get ready to be inspired as Jess walks us through the highlights of a day that was as magical as it was memorable. How did you decide on the theme for Amelie’s gorgeous Birthday? Amelie chose it! She initially wanted a baby chicken theme but with a girly floral twist. We had so much fun planning this together, she chose many of the colours and the patterns we used. What was Amelie's favourite thing about the party?Her favourite thing was the craft table. We had made chicks together with air dry clay. The party guests painted their chick and built a little coop for them using egg cartons. We had extra oven bake clay for them to make accessories as well as beads, paper hay and plenty of floral stickers. What was your favourite thing about the party?My favourite part was seeing Amelie wake up at dawn to start setting up. She had been so excited for this day. I always try to have the girls as involved as possible with their parties and that includes the shopping for the food, decor and putting together the party bags. Where did you get the beautiful cookies and cake from?Amelie and I baked the cookies together. This has become a party tradition in our house now. We use a brown sugar cookie recipe with royal icing. The cake was baked by the amazing Smoosh Face Cakes. She specialises in blank cakes that you can decorate yourself. This cake was vanilla with a strawberry filling and I decorated it with buttercream flowers to match our theme and colours. 1. Rylee + Cru Liv Blouse Ditsy. 2.
